Flooring on Slide Curling Upward

The vinyl flooring on the slide in my 2021 272rbok is curling upward. Any suggestions on how I might be able to correct that? I tried putting some weight on the flooring section while it is being stored but that doesn't seem to work. It sticks up far enough to become a tripping hazard.

A picture may help. Maybe a metal strip made for covering a threshold would do the trick? Without a visual, it's hard to get more specific.

Not sure how well it would work, but how about warming the underside with a hair dryer, putting weight on it, then warm the top side. Being careful not to get the flooring too hot, just enough to make it a little softer and pliable, then let it cool with the weight on it. just an idea that popped into my head when I saw the pictures.

Do you mean right in front of the sofa? Is that carpet or vinyl?

Ours has done it from the get go, normal. Dealer said they would replace it but it would do the same again. We just got used to it, although our feet sometime forget

Ours has done that since day 1... poor design IMHO. Same as Jetlag, dealer offered to replace. When it's seasonal in Florida, it does settle down some.

Gentle heat will also bring it down a bit, but it will just curl up again when you run the slide in. We carry a little cast iron door stop (shaped like an iron, I know you've seen them ) that my wife places on it.

Mine is carpet that's why we have not had that problem.
We do have an area rug that is over it when parked to keep it from wearing or rolling up.

it's not really a problem, just looks funny. I prefer that and easier cleaning than carpet.

We need a backing to add stiffness without making it TOO stiff. I'm working on it

Ours has a semi-permanent curl to it as it gets folded up against the island when the slide is closed. We ended up buying a large area rug (we wanted anyways) and it covers the edge forcing it down.

Hello All, We bought a 2022 Jayco Pinnacle 32RLTS in Feb. I saw the floor curling a bit at the door but now it's curling the whole length of the slide. Tripping hazard for sure. From reading other threads, Jayco didn't allot for the needed space. I don't think there is a fix for us but hopefully they are making better calculation to the new units. I am going to try the dryer idea now.

What would it look like if you just trimmed it off and put a transition strip on the edge so it doesn’t pull up any further

on my 2022 32TLTS the floor does not fold up when retracted, it goes in the toe kick area. That is not the cause on my unit.

I'm pretty sure it's not mine either but will determine that tomorrow. I did try the hair dry, heated it up then loaded it down with all my hand weights and paint cans. It's better but not flat. Maybe if me or one of my guest trips and fines themselves flat on their face, it might catch someone's attention. Hate for it to come to that but it the world we live in. Thanks for your reply.

I tried it!! It's not flat but better. We'll see how long it lasts. Now I have a 12ft rug laying over it.

I seen that on several units at the camping show this spring in our area. The factory rep that was there more or less said they tried a different material for the floor of the slide and he thought that was why it was happening.
