Frameless Emergency Window Question

I searched the forum but could not find the answer to this questions. I read all the debates about the frameless vs slide windows and ventilation. But, I saw nothing relating to can you open the Emergency window to let fresh air in? I open all the windows today to air out the camper. I have never opened all the windows since we have owned it. One came out of the track awhile back, but we were able to fix it. All open fine and my husband sprayed lubricant on the hinges and seals. But when I tried to open the emergency window they appeared stuck. I did not want to force them and risk breaking. This may be a dumb question, but can they be opened for ventilation? I have to say, I like the appearance of the frameless better, but the cross ventilation was better in the other style windows in past motorhomes.

We open ours often. The seal and window will stick to each other but a little steady pressure works.

No reason you can’t open them.

We’re not ac people and almost never run it, so our emergency windows are open essentially 24/7 when camping.

Thanks all. I figure you could. But, I have been know to force something to open an break it. I did not want to take a chance. So I assume you raise the red handle, straighten and then push out (carefully). I found the other windows to be sealed tight and the took steady light pressure until they opened.

We always open ours for a cross breeze. I like to use it so it doesn't stick in an emergency.

Just a little more pressure like the others and it will open. After all, that's the purpose.

Trust me, I would have no problem forcing or breaking it in an emergency! I just did not want to have to repair it now. It did not seem to stout.

Yeah, I felt the same way.... They do tend to stick to the molding. Maybe a few swipes of dry silicone will help.

Interesting you bring this up.
I opened both during our PDI. I thought this was something we all need to know to do in case we can't get to the door during a fire. (And honestly, as long as it takes to get these things open, I'm rather worried.)
I noticed it takes quite a bit more work to open the fire exits, but they do open.

Got them open and working great. They are cleaned and lubed plus the seals. This is the first RV we have had with a second door in the bedroom. It gives some added peace of mind in case of an emergency escape. That window could be a little tight!

Apply pressure and wait a little bit. Give the seal a chance to unstick, then apply a little more pressure and they will open. You need to open them from time to time, otherwise they like to really stick.
