Freezer?

We will be pulling out after 5 months. My question is when we unplug, all the ice that has built up in the freezer will it melt into a puddle in the freezer or is there a drain in the freezer that will send it to a holding tank?

Our JayFlight has a drain tube. It's unlikely defrost water is routed to a holding tank. It probably ends up in an open tray under or at the rear of the fridge for the water to evaporate.

We've used towels at the end of the season to soak up the defrost water before it drains anywhere.

I'm sure you'll hear from others before too long.

Start bailing ! LOL We also just use towels to sop up the water. This is how all refrigerators use to be Before fans and frost free...We actually open the freezer, turn on a small fan and scrape with plastic scraper as much frost as we can before it gets to melt..being careful of course.

Most freezers do not have a drain. I just let it thaw, and then mop it up. The frig coils do have a drain.

X-2 Just put a bath towel in the bottom.

Frost? What frost? Luckily we've never been in a humid region. Never thought about it until seeing this post.

yes frost, were not in a humid area, it happens!
