Fresh water drain only lets out 1/2 tank??

Im confused. I have 3 low point drains on our 171bh jay feather micro.

Hot and cold drain fine. The 3rd is a low pressure clear tube. This is the fresh tank drain.

Problem is that it only drains like half the fresh tank. The tube seems clear. Blown air and used a length of wire and I don't find any blockage. I have seen it drain before.
We bought the camper new this summer.

My monitor shows 1/3 tank and I've been running the out door shower for maybe 10-15 minutes. So I know theres still a lot of water left after the tank drain "runs dry".

How is the fresh tank drain plumbed? How could it drain only half?
Has anyone else experienced this?

It may have some blockage, the manufacturing process is a hurried thing and something may have gotten into the tank. OR, there may be build up on your tank sensors from not sanitizing that tank properly causing false readings. OR, usually the fresh drain is on one corner and if your RV isn't level it's not going to drain completely.

I open my fresh drain when heading home and it's surprising to see water still drizzling out miles away when the trailer tilts different angles.

All those things considered, it still seems like something is not right.

I'm going to pump out the rest using the outside shower so I can finish up winterizing.

Super weird.

I have heard that the manufacturer cuts circular holes in the tanks and sometimes the plastic plug ends up in the tank.

Yep, that would be my guess: plastic debris from cutting fitting holes in the tank. I found some plastic bits in the water pump filter the last time I winterized.

OP--is there any chance the tank is under vacuum and won't drain because a relief vent is plugged? Maybe unscrew the water pump filter bowl or unscrew the inlet hose on the water pump and see if something happens.

Water Tank Attachment Failure

This sounds eerily similar to a posting I was just reading about "fresh water tank attachment failure", whereby the factory mounting system for the tank comes undone(poor hardware), which allows the tank to come loose and drop down onto the underbelly, The tank sitting lower makes it so that the fresh water drain is actually higher than the water level in the tank. Gravity will only drain water that sits higher than the drain.

That does sound like a possibility, based only off the symptoms I saw. Its like maybe even the drain tube is somehow route up in a loop that is causing the tank to remain partially full.
Hmmmm....
