Fresh water holding tank

My issue, When I hook up to the city water supply a small amount of water is getting into my fresh water holding tank. Any ideas would be helpful.

What year and model Jayco do you have?

My friend had the same exact issue on his brand new camper. We kept running his pump and letting the seals get some use. I assumed that sitting for a long period of time that his bypass valve was stuck open a little and that by giving it a bit of a workout it might loosen up. It worked and it stopped sending water to the fresh water tank as well. If your camper is brand new or has been sitting for a long time I’d make sure all the valves are set correctly and then “exercise” your pump a little and see if it quits doing that.

Your unit has a water pump in it which is part of the plumbing system. The pump has a back flow valve to prevent water from back flowing back into the fresh water tank. It is possible that this valve has failed somewhat allowing water to enter the tank. You might try putting 20 gallons of water in the fresh water tank and exercising it as member Screwby suggested as it may just have something stuck in it. Hope this helps and good luck.

What unit do you have, please tell us, this way others with similar rigs can offer suggestions.

Do you have a water control panel? Any chance the levers aren't pointed in the correct direction?
