They are inherently noisy but can be quieted somewhat. Do some searching on this and other forums for "quieting rv water pumps" and you may get some ideas to try.
Mainly they involve making sure the hoses are not touching the rigs walls and floor by placing foam pipe insulation on them and methods of isolating the pump from the place it is mounted on the camper.
Sometime you can make a huge difference in the noise by just moving some things around near the pump.
