Fresh water tank insulation

Hi all. New to the forum. Lots of great info. Searched for this but unable to find anything. We just picked up a 2013 26bh. Love the floor plan. We do some late season camping. With the tanks being exposed was thinking of adding some insulation around it. I plan on putting some pipe insulation around the feed pipe from the tank to the tt. Was thinking about gluing and wrapping some of the silver bubble wrap insulation around the tank. Has anyone tried anything like this, or any other ideas out there?

Congratulations on the new trailer. They do sell after market tank heaters. They are flat panels that attach to the tank. I have not used them so I don't know how well they work.

12V tank pads - work great. We had them on our FR motorhome. Wouldn't freeze, I used the motorhome in weather as low as 10 degrees.

Just a thought - unless you are planning on camping in really cold weather, a large tank full of water will not freeze enough to do damage at or above 30 degrees or so. The pipes will freeze, but that much concentrated water takes a while and some very low temps to freeze hard and expand. JMHO

Thanks guys. Ill look into the pipe heater. My main concern is the inlet pipe. Depending on the weather during the elk hunt one or two of our group freezes up for most the morning.

Anybody tried spray foam insulation on tanks?

sounds pretty messy unless you have a way to contain it to the exterior of the tank.
