Fresh water tanks overflowing.

This is on a Jayflight 34rsbs 2017. While hooked up to city water I have water dripping from both overflow lines on the fresh water tanks. This trailer does not have the valve system to fill the tanks, just a cap to fill with a hose. Obviously I have a valve somewhere that is leaking back through the pump but where is that valve? Is it only in the pump or is there another one hiding somewhere?

Either the search feature at the top of the page or Google. This is pretty common and there are many threads that will help run down the problem. It could be the check valve at the pump itself which is the usual culprit.

Do you have any idea how many threads this search brings up? Most of them are for systems unlike mine. I am hoping someone with a similar system will answer and save me a lot of time reading useless text.

There are a lot of them. I just spent ten minutes looking through threads hoping to find one that would help you.

In guess if you can't do that, I shouldn't have either.

That's a last resort but thanks for trying. I did find a YouTube video on the check valve in the pump. I guess I'll start there and hope there isn't another valve somewhere. It's hard to get to most of the plumbing in these things to see if there is one.

Cliff, if it turns out to be the pump check valve, which it probably is, locate the draw line from the fresh tank and just before it gets to the pump, install a sharkbite shut off valve or something similar. That will prevent the filling of the fresh tank from a failed pump check valve. Or you can pull the pump, take it apart and check if there's something stuck in check valve of the pump.

I think I will pull the pump tomorrow and check it out. I'm thinking it might be clogged with calcium. I had to replace the HW tank a few months ago due to corrosion eating through it. It had a large amount of calcium in it.

If that doesn't work I'll get a valve. Thanks for the input.

There maty be a valve already there that you turn for winterizing. If it's there, just close it. Is your fresh tank monitor showing full?

I agree with the check valve in the pump. You can get a rebuild kit, or go to your local DIY store and by an inline check valve to place between the pump and pickup hose.

Something like this one should work. https://www.amazon.com/Uenede-One-Wa...s%2C140&sr=8-8
