Fridge in storage area

I have 2009 G2 32 bhds , it has the rear storage. We are in dire need of more fridge space. Has anyone wired up a small fridge in there? I'd need to get power there.

Thanks

Theoretically getting power there shouldn't be that difficult.

The other side of that storage is the entertainment center under the bunk. You could use the existing electrical outlet there to splice in wires for a second electric outlet in the storage area. That's only a 15 amp outlet so you'd have to check the power requirements of any fridge you plug in.

You might also have a tough time finding a fridge that would fit in there.

My bigger concern would be ventilation in that small area. I'd check with someone that has the outside kitchen model to see what kind of ventilation is in that area when a trailer leaves the factory with that option included. I don't know if I'd be comfortable leaving a fridge running in the outside storage of my 2010 32BHDS.

I wondered about over heating. I have also looked at other trailers with rear kitchens and didn't see any vents. My work mate has an outdoor kitchen and he did mention his fridge gets hot. We park ours on a seasonal lot so maybe if this won't work I'll put the fridge in our shed.

My 26BH came with the chill and store option - basically they stick a dorm fridge in one of the storage compartments. There is no additional ventilation in the compartment and it is in the same compartment as my water heater. I did notice that heat builds up in there with the compartment closed. My son sleeps on the bunk directly above it and I was thinking it will probably be uncomfortable for him to sleep if it is hot out. Other than that, I haven't had a problem with using it.
