Front cap caulk

I have a 2016 whitehawk 33rsks. The caulk on the molding where the sidewall meets the front cap is starting to crack and come out. It feels like putty. What is it and how do I fix it? I would not take that molding off so can we just recalk with a non sag dicor? Any help is much appreciated! Here is a pic of what I am asking about.(ps this pic is sideways and I don’t know why)

That's butyl putty. You can buy it in a tape roll. It's pretty cheap. It's used for moldings like that, windows, access hatches, stuff like that. It dries out on the edges after a time, but underneath it's probably still soft and pliable. I personally would not remove the molding, just trim off the putty and caulk it.

I used a small punch an pushed it in far as I could which wasn't much. Then I wiped it down really good with ammonia pads then caulked over it.
