Frozen fridge

We have a 2008 22ft Jay Flight. The fridge has started freezing everything in it. Doesn’t matter what temp it is set to and this has been going on for about a year now. We are hoping it’s something small like just a thermostat that can be swapped easily but what could we be looking at here, worse case scenario, cost wise? If the whole fridge needs replaced, labor and all?
