Furnace issues
2006 Jayco Eagle, took it to Colorado for a hunting trip. Furnace quit second night. Hit the thermostat to call for heat, just clicked and nothing. Igniter or whatever you call it would click and nothing. Time for a new heat unit?

Maybe air in the line? My popup did that from time to time an that's what caused mine to do that. Have you changed the tanks recently?

Do you have 2 propane tanks with an automatic switch-over? Those have been known to fail.

I had a similar experience recently with our normally dependable gas water heater. Just clicked but wouldn’t light. I knew one of my tanks was near empty and I had already opened the valve on the other tank for auto switchover. When it wouldn’t light, I manually flipped the lever on the regulator over to the full tank even though it wasn’t “red” in the regulator window yet. Water heater lit right up. My thought was maybe there just wasn’t enough gas pressure coming from the near-empty tank, but I am still a newbie at all of this.

Thank you for all the replies. Both tanks (30 pounders) were filled before I left. The cook stove worked fine the whole trip. Even heated temporarily with the burners, operative word here is temporarily. Will try the switch thing on the tanks.

You didn't mention if the fan started to run when setting up the thermostat. Does the furnace have a reset button?

Were you boondocking? was the battery voltage over 12V? If the fan wont run the pilot wont light.

Yes I was, but I brought my generator so I don't think that was the problem.

Not sure if you have the same problem as we had, but our furnace quit working last year one fall night. After reading some things on this forum, my husband cut a hole in the top of the wood that was over the back right side of the furnace and found the reset switch. We reset it and it has worked fine ever since! (Our furnace is located under the couch and a wooden box is built around it. When we got home he made a piece to put over the hole he cut, but we are able to get to the reset switch any time we need to now.)

What altitude were you at?
Does it work at lower elevations?
I assume, because you only asked about the furnace . . . That is the only gas appliance you are having an issue with? That would preclude all the empty tank and change-over valve problems.
