Furnace Pics please?
My tanks froze in the cold weather this week.
I discovered that my 'enclosed' underbelly was sliced wide open from the dealer checking to see if the grey tank sensors were working earlier this year. They spot welded it with some spray foam but there were multiple places I could put my fist in and touch the tanks.
All repaired to my standards now.
I strongly suspect that the 'heated' part of my thermal package is also missing. I'm going to pull the sofa and double check this evening. Any pictures anyone has of models similar to mine with a furnace under the sofa and the belly pan heat duct would be greatly appreciated.

I had to pull the Coroplast bottom from my trailer a couple of years ago and was surprised to find out how simple the "heated underbelly" was on my trailer; just a couple of "T's" in a heating duct with a 2" hose blowing heated air into the belly. It all looked rather haphazardly done. For my trailer, there is nothing about the "heated underbelly" to see near the heater.

No way to see anything around the furnace in ours either. Have to pull the chloroplast, which I'm not up for really. If something freezes, I'll pull it.
In your particular model, the furnace is under the couch, correct? If so, there is a thread on the forum somewhere where an owner discovered they never did run the heat duct at all, on that exact model. I'll look and see if I can find it.

I think this is the one I was thinking of:

This was on a 26BH, but the furnace is still under the couch. Jayco had forgot to run the heat duct. Worth checking out.

The heat is confirmed missing. The most correct thing to do would be to have it fixed under warranty, however, my standard of work appears to be dramatically higher than the dealers and it's going to get real cold by New Years it looks like I have a project for the next couple days.

Your way of thinking is inline with mine. Get it how you want it. Chop, cut, rebuild the way you want it. That's what we always do. I just ducted my heat from the floor run up under the bunks / storage I the rear of ours. You've got an easy set up to work with really.

Yep, just grabbed a T, some ducting, and aluminum tape from home depot. Poke a couple pilot holes and then drop down between the two fresh water tanks. Already sealed the holes in the underbelly and mounted 70 watt work lights next to the outlets on the black and gray tanks.

Speaking of, Skaling, have you had any kind of freezing issues since you got all that corrected?

Luckily i never had any freezing issues prior to the fix. I just noticed that the floor above my tanks(bathroom area) was way colder on my bare feet than the rest of the floor. That was October of 2014. This fall we put the trailer away early as we had a couple vacations booked.. My next camping trip is booked for the 3rd week in Febuary( after we take kids to Disneyland and mexico) so i will see how well the fix works then... Right now up in Vancouver we have had a warm winter with no snow, so i hope it gets colder for febuary so i can see how well the trailer can hold up...

And here's the results:
Still need to put in a mouse proof screen and would like a on/off flapper. Coldest the belly pan got last night was 37 when it was about 15 outside. Was able to pump out much of the fresh water tanks so I think we're good to go to 0.

You might want to take a look at the installation documents for your particular furnace. Most call for 3-4 ducts and that one you have T'd only counts as one duct so it looks like you only have 2 ducts. If you have to few ducts you are restricting airflow and the furnace could overheat.
I've seen a lot of installations where the trailer manufacturer fails to put in the minimum number of ducts called for by the furnace manufacturer.

We hit -3 over the long weekend. Only thing that had issues was the exposed gray tank valve and a few minutes under a heat lamp fixed that.
That's supposed to be the lowest for the year - I think we're all good now.
