gas hookup for outoor grill????

Hi, we are the new to us owners of a 2004 Jayco Jayflight 27bh camper. LOVE IT!!!!
This is our first travel trailer, we had a 2001 Coachmen Clipper popup before. Liked that but too much work to set up.
Anyway my question is, does this camper have an outdoor hookup for a gas grill? I have a shelf that I was told was for a grill, but can't find a gas hook. Thanks in advance for any help with this puzzling problem.

did you look under the TT? if there is a hook up for the grill, you should be able to see copper colour connector

We also have a 2004 model, though not the same as yours, and the gas grille rails are mounted on front passenger side corner. The gas line with the grille is only about 4 feet long, so the gas connection is right behind the mount rails, under the frame, with a quick disconnect and a valve. Valve lever is made so that you cannot connect or disconnect unless the valve is in the OFF position. Ours is visible if you bend down and look just under the frame rail. Hope this helps.

I have the rail for the grill also on my trailer but I don't think it would be a good idea to have that much heat that close to the trailer so I don't use it.

Agree with you Joe, extra 4 ft gas line and a folding table. Away from the tt and outside the awning.

Thanks for the info. everyone!! I think I will go with a seperate gas grill away from trailer. I sure wouldn't want to blow up the new camper, or my family!!!

just my 2cts worth - have used the gas grille on the trailer side several times, and the supplied support bracket puts the grille about 8 inches or so from the trailer side, with no adverse effects so far. The trailer side doesn't get the least bit warm from the grille. There is a heat diffuser in the grille that directs the heat to what you are cooking, and away from the sides. And unless the metal sleeved hose is damaged, there is virtually no possibility of a leak - you can't connect or disconnect unless the valve is turned off. If you are careful, and follow the instructions, I see no problem here.

I won't repeat the full description, but the wire rack shelf works fine and the stove is far enough from the camper that heat is not an issue.
