Gas light blinking

Hello fellow Jayco owners- I have an issue and I am wondering if anyone else knows what we should do.
The refrigerator light is blinking when we disconnect the shoreline cord, and connect to gas, there is plenty of gas, it's a new tank, and not sure why ithe lights are blinking in both of the gas and auto positions, Does anyone know what we should check- we have a 3 hour trip and a fridge full of food.

Did you try turning the fridge off and then back on with shore power disconnected? You should hear it trying to light. If it still fails to light double check that the tank is actually on and selected and make sure you don't have air in the lines by lighting your stove/furnace or whatever else is close to the fridge.

Mine did that last trip out and turning it off and back on solved it.

The blinking light indicates that the burner is not lite. The orifice may be clogged or you may not have 12 volts going to the refrigerator.

I would suggest that you look at the model number or the ref. and go online and download the manual for the ref.

Try turning the gas valve on the tank off and then back on VERY slowly. If that doesn't work, try purging the gas lines by lighting the stove top burners.

You've had very good suggestions. X2 from here. I always turn on my LP gas and patiently light the stove burners to clear the air from the lines; it will take several tries across a couple of minutes, but that way the 'fridge will start right up on gas.

Our 2016 Eagle fridge does the same thing. Usually takes 2 or 3 tries before it ignites.
You can hear the gas burning when its on. One of these days I will investigate what is going on. Good luck!!

Air is in the gas lines. Like rkresge said, bleed the gas lines by lighting your stove.

You might have simular problems with the hot water.. check it as well before you leave on your trip.. sometimes after a long disconnect from propane air gets into the lines or even spider nest in the tunes that prevents ignition

Could be corroded burner on the fridge. I used some fine sandpaper to clean up the rust on the burner then vacuumed it out and now it works perfectly.
