Gas quick connect

I'm wondering if anyone knows how to hook up a camping stove that runs off those small lp tanks to the quick connect on the gas line of the TT?

Here's a good place to start researching what it take to convert a high pressure grill to low pressure.

Not all brands can be converted, I attempted to do this on our Coleman stove and it did not work, so I installed a splitter tee at the TT tank and run a high pressure hose to our Coleman, works great. You can see what I did in my build thread - link in signature for it.

Its not worth the cost or effort. The green stubbies are cheap and allow you to set up your grill where ever you want without having to tether it to the TT.

I converted my Coleman Road Trip for under $20 - it was well worth it to me. I hated the little 1 pound bottles and I hated carrying a BBQ tank with me on every trip.

I bought and converted a Weber Q1200 with a kit from propanegear.com. The kit below has everything to make the grill a quick connect setup. It worked great with the factory camper propane hookup on the rear bumper. This is a much better option than worrying about having the little green bottles on hand.

Charcoal grill. Cooks better, tastes better, but we are from Louisiana. I removed the whole gas line and quick connect. Anybody need it?

If it's a Coleman Road Trip LXE or similar model, they use a proprietary connector. BUT you can buy this adapter:

Torjik – Clever is Better

That's for a Coleman, but they do make a converter/adapter for other models as well.

On our Coleman Triton 2-burner camp stove I removed all of the internals from the factory regulator and hooked it up to the rear TT quick connect. The stove would light but when turned all the way up the flame was so low that you couldn't physically see it......

I just bought a hose to hook up to a regular 20 lb propane tank and just haul the tank with me. Better than screwing with those expensive little bottles.

The option I'm currently using for our Coleman Triton camp stove - high pressure from the main tank on the TT prior to the regulator. The tee has check valves built in, so when you turn on the tank with one side not hooked up it does not leak propane. But I still keep my tank valve closed anytime I'm not using propane. One side of tee to factory propane hose on TT, other side goes to stove when in use.
