Best one if money is no object: Honda EU 3000i Honda EU3000iS Model Info | Super Quiet 3000 Watt Inverter Generator | Honda Generators

Good one if money is a constraint: Champion 3000i with remote start https://www.amazon.com/Champion-Powe.../dp/B00JZQUSAC

Both the Honda and the Champion can be bought for a couple hundred bucks less than listed here if you shop around. Costco often has Champions for cheap, sometimes some other big box stores do as well.

Yamaha 3000 and Honda 3000 inverter style quiet generators are arguably of equal realiability and performance. They are also approximately the same price depending promotional sales and specials. If you prefer one over the other just watch for a special and you can get it for a little less.

Make sure you get one that says "Inverter Style" (like those already mentioned) the contractor grade ones are too noisy and you will be hated wherever you camp at..

I bought two Honda 2000i's. Had one for a while, but after buying my first TT, I needed another 2k genny in order to run my AC.

So I got another Honda, the 2000i Companion. Just needed one set of small cables to hook them up. There are a lot of long run tanks that can be hooked to the Hondas.

Champion is putting out good generators now though. I just don't know if they have the external extended run gas tanks though. If they do, I'd look at them if I didn't have any generators yet.

Draw back to the Honda 3k or Yamaha 3k is the weight. I can't move them around. I can lug the 2k hondas.

I was looking for generators last spring. I bought the Champion 3100 with the remote. Paid just over $900 through Overstock.

I've ran the 13.5 A/C and microwave at the same time. I love the remote start, especially the remote off feature.

It's quiet. The big Honda (not Honda Handy) is a little quieter but it's way bigger and heavier.
