Gfi

We have a 2020 Jay flight 237 RBS and the GFI in the bathroom kicks off after about 5 minutes. We only have one small lamp plugged in and it kicks off. I have tried everything from nite lights to phone chargers and get the same results. Does anyone have an idea of my problem.
Thanks. George

Welcome to JOF George. There are likely other outlets wired in that GFI circuit. Anything else plugged-in anywhere in the trailer? Are you powered thru a 30amp or 20amp cord?

Sometimes GFCI units fail. They are electronic in nature and probably made by the cheapest contractor in China.

An additional problem could be a loose connection that heats up and fails. Turn off the juice, pull it out of the wall and check/tighten all three wires. It could be at the panel or at any of the other outlets chained to it. Gotta little hunting to do. My problem among many was a loose panel to frame ground wire.

All outside outlets, and kitchen outlets will be on the GFCI circuit. If there's appliances or a lot of lights plugged in, it may be enough to trip it. Also, they can't be tripped and reset an infinite number of times.

My 2018 324BHTS did this. It would trip just sitting there, nothing plugged in anywhere.

On my 1st trip to dealer for annual warranty I told them about it and they said "Yeah, seen many of them" so they replaced the actual GFI in the bathroom and its been perfect since.

Not a load or ground fault issue, plain old quality issue.
