Arrow Glacier package on my White Hawk is a winner!

We'll headed to the Gulf on Friday [1 above 0] when we left Ky. Overnite in a WWorld in Tuscalusa Ala [23 degrees] and the White Hawk warmed up to around 60 with the furnace pretty much in less than an hour. Not bad considering everything inside was frozen stiff. Got to the CG here on the Mississippi gulf coast and last nite they got hit with an ice storm and temps in the low 20's overnite. High today 32 and 18 tonight. My ceramic heaters died, so its the furnace and the elec fireplace [which is doing great]. Burned thru one tank of propane but was able to do an exchange at W World this am. No elec space heaters anywhere from Norleans to Panama City. The White Hawk holds temps and no issues with the plumbing. I did switch over to the fresh water tank last nite and disconnected the hose.

Considering the minimal extra cost of the package, I'd say its well worth it. Now looking for some warm weather for our trip south.

Good to see your posts here Bassdogs. I have the glacier package like you and thought that it included the foil bubble type insulation which you can see under the carpet in the sofa area of the slide out but it does not appear to be included under the stove/fridge slide area. What does yours look like?

Anyway, you're making me jealous that you are out and mine is covered and winterized. Stay warm

Glad to hear it's working out for you!

I've been here in the panhandle of Texas with temps in the lower single digits at night, the last few days didn't warm up above freezing. I can go through a bottle of propane in 2 days! That said, I can crank up the heater and the place will be toasty in like 20 or 30 minutes. Wish I had some extra insulation so I didn't burn through the fuel.

Glad to hear the Glacier Package is worth the money. We weren't sure we'd need it but ordered it anyway.

Anyone know the difference between the Glacier package and the Thermal package?

Can't answer your question . Can't actually see any of the extra insulation other than the complete enclosure of the underside. Interesting that the CG water at the site froze last night. Had disconnected the hose and put some water in the fresh tank. No problems with the internal plumbing.

Very comfortable last night and actually got up around 1 and turned down the Tstate. The package doesn't cost very much and I would recommend that you add it if you are ordering a Jayco. The only draft we noticed was near the windows. It wasn't an air leak, but the heavy humidity forming condensation under the shades. The quick drop in temp must have agravated the problem Took a towel and wiped down the windows and that seemed to help. Only used minimal gas even though temp dropped below 20 last nite. Once you get the inside warmed up, it doesn't seem to take much to keep it at temp.
