Gluing the seams?

The seam strip on my bedroom vinyl wall covering has been pulling away. I can push it back down but it doesn’t stick for long and separates again. Anyone found a glue I can shoot under there to keep it stuck down? TIA!

Google "wallpaper seam repair". There's a variety of adhesives you can use. Some inject with a needle, some right from the bottle tip. Use Frog Tape to hold it down while it cures. BUT DON'T GET THE ADHESIVE ON THE FROG TAPE! Press the seam and wipe up the access before using tape.

Mine has that strip of vinyl about an inch wide where the two wallboards meet, covering the joint. It sticks for a while but pops loose, especially when it’s 110* outside.

Just repaired seams in an RV which were opening up due to heat. Get you a tube of "Roman" wallpaper seam repair at Lowe's (about $5.00), or most any other water based seam repair adhesive. Using an artists brush paint it liberally on both surfaces ( not runny though), wait a couple of minutes ( as it tacks up) and using a damp ( squeeze all the water out) sponge, wipe the wall down pressing the tape on. Clean up any excess adhesive with the damp sponge and you should be good.

Thanks Onyrlef. Sounds like a solution. Has the glue held through more heat?

When the wallpaper seam in our TT bedroom began separating, I simply used a little "Elmers" white glue. I put a small line of glue on the inside of the seam and pressed the wallpaper back against the wall and wiped the excess off with a damp rag. When the glue dried, I found a tiny bit had squeezed out, but it dried clear and is virtually unnoticeable.

I wonder if you could just put a little piece of scotch tap to hold it down.

With the kind of heat we get (when not traveling), I’m afraid it would not hold. I’m just not sure what glue will stick well to the vinyl.

I have used this product for quite a few years now on all types of material and have had good success with it. Check out the reviews for it and I hope it works well for you
