Going Camping this Wkd, WOOOHOOO!!!!

Finally warm weather has arrived here in Missouri and our CG reservations didn't have to be cancelled! So now it's time to get the TT out of the barn and prep her for first trip of the season! Should be perfect weather, lows in upper 40s and highs in low 70s. I hope the weather cooperates with all of the JOF members out there, HAPPY CAMPING!

Have fun and travel safe. Have a fire for us still waiting to go camping please. Sounds like you will have perfect weather for camping. With a travel trailer, that is when it gets to 40 LOL. Happy Camping to you.

Thanks Donedroolin, luckily I have a whole day off on departure day so my preps will start the night before and should complete early next day. CG is only 1hr away so no rushing around! The only thing I want get to do is wash the TT and that just erks me since it's not even 1yr old. Oh well, the inside still smells new! And yes, I will build a HUGE fire for ya!!!!

Have a great time camping. I am going to work on sanitizing my 700 foot water line and 150 gallons of storage tanks. Then I will bring home a water sample and take it to the lab for testing. I am hoping next weekend I will get the water system in the trailer sanitized and won't have to blow out the water lines again until fall.

Pink juice still here as well, but most mods have been completed! I'm thinking a couple of more weeks as the weather here in the midwest HAS to get better. Global Warming? Not here, yet.

Thanks everyone! I'm currently at work and TOTALLY WORTHLESS!!! Didn't sleep well last night with anxiety and anticipation. I feel like a teenager about to go on a first date. LOL After tonight's preperations, I bet I'll just pass out 'round 8:30pm. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I don't have to use the "pink stuff" after retuning next week, wish me luck.

Here's wishing blue skies and warmer weather for all you anxious campers out there.

Going camping this weekend too! Except for camp driveway, its the maiden voyage of our new Jayco. Isn't going to be that warm, in the high 50's.
But with the weather we have been having so far this spring, it will be down right balmy.

I still remember our first trip.. We picked up the camper and headed home to load up.. Then off to Indian Creek. The only hick-up we had was that the water hose that came with the unit was too short to reach the connection. We had to shuffle water for an hour using a large plastic bottle!!!

Have a great time

Hope y'all have a blast! We were able to take a short trip this week (spring break for the kiddos) and had a good time. I'm already trying to figure out how to get a trip together for next weekend. Happy Camping and safe travels!

We had a BLAST! I've never heard so many woodpeckers, at times you could 3 simultaneously pecking away. Absolutely amazing! We had great weather for 3 days so no complaints there. We did have 3 hickups: 1. garage door opener quite working day before departure (fixed today) 2. F150 Truck tranny started acting up, got us there and back OK but got to take it to dealer Weds (not happy with Ford now!) 3. TT carbon monoxide sensor went on the blink, kept going off w/o any propane turned on! Had to disconnect it temporarily, clean it according to O&M, reinstalled now has blinking green light instead of steady green....not sure what's going on? OH, if anyone has a Camco stovetop cover, don't put anything warm on it (like something out of the microwave), leaves a mark....go figure??? So, nice to get all these little wrinkles out of the way early in the season so everything will be fixed and ready to go with no worries for remainder of the season. Next outting in 2 or 3 wks!

Sounds like, in spite of your few hiccups, you thoroughly enjoyed yourselves. Hope you can do it again soon!
