Goodyear Endurance Tires

Hard to find any reviews on the new Goodyear Endurance ST tires.

I wanted to upgrade from C range to D and went with the new Goodyear Endurance 205/75/14 tires on hopes that "Made in the USA" still means something. The first time out this past week the difference in the feel pulling the trailer was so noticeable my DW commented on it from the passengers seat. I know that may have a lot to do with going from C's to D's, but I was extremely pleased with the tires on a 400 mile round trip.

If I run into any negatives I will post here.

The old tires felt "mushy" and seemed to surge when towing almost like the kept poking us in the back of the seat. They also seemed more resistant to rolling when starting from a standing start. Less resistance when cornering as well. The new Goodyear's seem to be much firmer and roll smoother with no surge. We literally could not tell the trailer was back there. With the old tires we always felt it back there.

One added plus was while set up there was not as much bounce either. The D's are at 65 PSI while the C's were 50 PSI max so the D's were just firmer in every way.

As I mentioned I attribute all of this from going from C to D on trailer that is a little over 7K fully loaded more than the brand. I went with the brand for "Made in the USA" and a warranty that runs longer than I will run trailer tires.

Great information. Thanks for the update on the Goodyears. When the time comes I would like to upgrade from the C's to D's.

We put the Good Year Endurance on about 900 tow miles ago, a noticeable difference. I'm not sure if it is just the stiffer sidewall in a D tire over a C, but the stability of the trailer is much improved. Supposedly the sidewalls on these are reinforced to be more puncture/cut resistant as well. In any case, they feel considerably sturdier and tow better in my opinion. Time will tell, but we are very happy so far.

What warranty are you referring to? I was looking at the Endurance warranty and it appears to only be a year?

I just switched out the Rainier225/75R15 tires for these Goodyears. They definitely roll much smoother than the OEM. Out of the 5 tires I purchased (spare also), one had a defective side wall... Waiting for the replacement to arrive today.

Cool, I'll be interested in seeing what it says and if it calls out Endurance on the paperwork. I purchased my Endurance's directly from Goodyear and scheduled them through Goodyear at a Goodyear service center. The warranty they sent me is the following link - https://www.goodyear.com/en-US/tire-...eplacementLink.

Also, you might note that the Goodyear Endurance tires are not eligible for the 6 year tread wear warranty - https://www.goodyear.com/en-US/tires/endurance

I cannot imagine keeping a TT tire 6 years or coming close to the tread wearing out but according to Tire review they do offer a limited tread warranty and I could swear that is what the dealer said at Discount Tire as well. That is what I meant by thinking it is a warranty I'd never use. I'll double check the paperwork when I get home tonight.

Agree, I'm not keeping a TT neatly that long but some may if they believe it's under warranty. Think I'm going to go with Goodyears info on their site over Discount or a tire review. [emoji53]

Warranty on Goodyear Endurance ST Tires

Here is what the Warranty says from Discount Tires:

"If based on their observation the ATV/Trailer Tire becomes unserviceable, other than by a road hazard, during the 3 years following the date of purchase it will be replaced by a comparable tire based on a charge of 33% per year or part thereof of the original purchase price."

Three years is about as long as I'd trust a trailer tire anyway.

Nice, sounds like Discount is warrantying it past what GY is willing to do!

I recently noticed I have one GY Endurance and three Raniers. They all seem to be wearing about the same. And need the same attention to tire pressure. Only viable note is that the raneirs have turned brown. Very odd. I'll probably pick up three more endurance in the near future for peace o mind.

Did you get your trailer used and those tires came with it? Or did you buy it new? If you bought it new, did you pay the mandatory GY Endurance option fee?

Seems strange that a trailer would come from the factory with 1 GY and 3 Raniers.
