Goodyear Marathon Radial Trailer tires
I have a 2010 Jayco Jayflight G2 31RKS with these Goodyear Marathon Radial tires (ST 225/75R15). The unit has been on the road probably less than 5,000 miles in the year and a half we have owned it and I just noticed a bubble on one of the sidewalls that looks like a elongated blister. Anyone experience any problem like this. Gonna have to change this tire out.

I had 6 Goodyear Marathon ST 225 75 15 load range D tire failures. Several sound like what you describe.
I now run Maxxis Load range E. no problems since!

Take it to Goodyear authorized dealer and they will likely adjust it for another. Keep an eye on all of them until you decide to replace with another brand.

Thanks for all your responses. I will definitely go to goodyear for a replacement but it does sound like there possibly needs to be a recall on these tires. Maybe we all should write to NHTSA and file a complaint.

Folks, with all the complaints about the Goodyear Marathon trailer tire on this site, it is amazing that no one has filed a complaint. I just looked on the NHTSA website and there is only one complaint. With all the complaints I am seeing at different web sites, we need to be reporting these issues. There must be a problem with these tires. If anyone wants to file a complaint which is what I'm doing now, here is the link.

They are probably made in China. I ditched my Goodyears for Maxxis 2 years ago.

You are correct on them being made in China. My Goodyears that went bad were on another 5th W. but I'll run these one on the jayco tell they need replaced.

There is a term we have for what you are doing. It's called Peeing into the wind. I generally vote with my feet.
Good luck with your complaint.

I agree with Norty, it's pi$$ing in the wind.
When I had a rash of Goodyear Marathon failures several years ago, I filed an NHTSA complaint. Obviously, it did not stick since someone reported there was only one complaint showing on their website. Unless I was the only one.....

One reason more official complaints are not filed is that Goodyear has a good record of paying properly documented claims of damage that their tires cause.
That may be less expensive than making a great product.
My current rig came with LR-E Marathons from our favorite foreign country. As soon as they are 4 years old, assuming they last that long, they will be replaced with another brand.

On edit, I went and checked the site. There are 97 complaints for Goodyear including 22575R15, Marathon and Marathon ST.
Mine is probably one of those.
Obviously we ARE just PI$$ING in the wind.
If there are 97 complaints, imagine how many are NOT reported!

You are far more trusting of Goodyear than I.
If I get a new trailer that comes with Marathons, I probably will replace them in the first 12 months.

Well welcome to how the poor people live. I would love to replace them. Have had lots of bad experience with GY Marathon tires. I am resolved to monitor them closely by TPMS and regular inspection and try to get some life out of them.
My plan is to replace them with Maxxis when the time comes.

I'll buy them with the money I saved from not buying a new trailer every few years.

My Marathons will be replaced with G614's after I use them a little bit more. They are 2 1/2 years old as of right now and my plan is to replace them this time next year. I only move 4 times a year and I have TPMS and I NEVER tow faster than 60 so I'm hoping they will make it another 1,000 miles. I have an onboard air compressor and make absolutely positive they are inflated properly before every move.
