Gray tank handle under slide hard to reach
Anyone have some ideas, I have a 32bhds and the gray tank handle is under the slide. When i need to pull and dump my gray water in to my turd toter i have to get on my hands and knees to pull the handle. Or retract the slide to access the handle. I am wondering if anyone has a better idea than i have come up with, sending a kid under the slide?

That's a great question, I have a 314BHDS with the same issue and gave myself one hell of a battle wound last camping trip - sliced the entire back of my arm up on the aluminum trim under the slide. Probably going to leave a scar lol. They really put that pull handle in a $hit location (no pun intended). I'm interested to hear what others come back with. My kids are too young at this point unfortunately.

Most of the time I will tie a string around the handle and pull when I am ready to dump. But still need to close it.

I was thinking about a stick of pvc pipe with a rope ran through it like a dog catchers pole.

I have the same problem.
On our TT we have an outside kitchen with a separate manual awning. I use the the metal pole that is used to hook into the awning strap to both open and close the grey water valve. It has a loop on one end and the other end is "L" shaped. It's about 5' long and reaches without a problem.

I have learned to hook up my hoses prior to opening the slides, but opening and closing the handles still presents a problem. I also received a battle wound from my last grey water dumping adventure. I like the pole and string idea.

I have the same camper and the same problem. I tried a couple times to use the awning rod and found that it worked well to open it but not so good to close it. So, I welded up a rod out of rebar.

I use a garbage picker. One you pick up trash without bending over. Works get for pulling the handles and keeps the campsite clean. Sorry for no picture of it.

We bought this kit a few years ago, for two roof vents that opened manually, but we're hard to reach. Vent Stick - $19.45
That trailer has been sold, but the "stick" is just the right length for reaching under the slide to get to my kitchen grey-tank handle....

I use a garbage picker.
My friend has a Forest River and the drain for the kitchen sink (rear kitchen) is under the slide, he uses one of those trash pickers also

I had the same issue/complaint. We wound up trading the 32BHDS in for a 33RBTS, which doesn't have that issue.

I use an old aluminum 4' level that I accidently bent several years ago. It has a cut out on the end that works perfect to hook over the handle to open, then place it against the handle and push to close. Works every time.
