Greenball Towmaster tires at Costco?

Anyone have any experience with these tires they sell at Costco? Costco tire manager said he has had good feedback on these for travel trailers. Price is good and with Costco's all over the US it would be convenient for service and support. What say you?

Costco's review page on them seems to be pretty good. Also like you said, Costco is all over in case you need some help. In my opinion, if Costco sells it, it's LIKELY to be a good product. Not always, but highly likely.

I have no experience with these tires, but I have NEVER purchased anything at Costco that I've been completely pleased with.

My experience

Our last RV, a Lance trailer, came with these. Early on I had one not hold air so took it off and headed to tire shop. They said that it was leaking from cracks in sidewall. I then had them check the others and they said it was looking like same condition on all of them. Lance dealer had me call Greenball who wanted me to ship them the tires to determine if they would be covered under warranty. What?
Starting calling around and found that Costco carried them. Those on the trailer were not radials, the Costco tires were. Couldn't wait for the warranty fight so Costco said that they would persue reimbursement and charged me the difference for radials. They were still on the trailer when I sold it. Often wonder how it turned out for Costco.

As a manufacturer of parts in both USA (for military) and China (for our commercial customers) I can say that it's not the country but rather the standards to which the items are built. Taiwan is actually steps above China in their production standards but you have to know what you're looking for. Costco doesn't normally cheap out on their products and I would trust these, not recommend them, but trust them.

I seem to recall something about radials should not be used on a trailer, is that not the case? Thanks to anyone in the know for further advice.

Decades ago when manufacturing was done here, I was told companies like Sears would set the specs for the product they wanted manufactured. True?

Nowadays I'm hearing companies like Walmart say, China, build these for these dollars. True or not?

Pretty much. Companies that care (like Costco) aren't just out to make a buck like Walmart, etc.

Found out they're also made in Indonesia and China and since Greenball doesn't make the tires themselves they are a rebranding company.

After seeing the comments, researching online, and talking to my full-timer cousin and his wife, we decided to go with the Goodyear Endurance tires. Price was $611 for four balanced and mounted. I feel secure on my decision considering the feed back. Thanks to all that added to this discussion. Got the "E" rated tires. Look nice and I can tell the different already in the feel of the tow. I bought Goodyear Endurance to replace my Ranier's.

It was either the Goodyear's or Maxxis for me. Jayco didn't put Ranier's on because they were great tires.

Seems now they are using the Goodyears on certain models or they cam be an option.
