Grey #1 vs. Grey #2

What exactly drains into the grey tanks? My grey #1 always fills, yet grey #2 remains empty. I have a 34RSBS. The owners manual doesn't address this. Can they be connected to fill evenly or for overflow?
Thanks.

One is for the bath shower and sink, and typically fills 4 or 5 times as often as the other, which is just for the kitchen sink. With an added slide gate over my drain cap, I can equalize mine, giving me greater capacity....

Hi Joyce. We own a 338RETS . I believe yours is set up like ours and has the hookups for a washing machine in the closet. The second gray water tank is for the washer. You can buy a gate valve to add where your sewer hose connects. This way you can fill both gray water tanks. Just keep the black water valve closed till your ready to drain the trailer. The valve is made by Valterra part # T58 it's like $25. Check it out it's great. We doubled our gray water capacity.
