Grey sensor showing 2/3 full

I know it's a common issue however I can't seem to get the sensor to read right. The sensor keeps on reading 2/3 and when it's actually full it does say full, when it's empty it reads 2/3. I tried using dish detergent and filled up the tank and let it sit there hoping it will clean the sensors but it didn't.

Has anybody had any success in trying to clean the sensors in the grey tank? If so what did they use.

Thanks

Get one of those wands with the spinning sprayer head and stick it down into the tank thru your toilet. Just make sure to turn of your water and careful of your toilet seal. It works every time for us.

Depending on the setup, if you can get a tank wand into the tank might work. Otherwise try a good dose of laundry detergent and then fill.

They are wanting to clean a grey tank, not a black tank.

I’ve used Commando Black Tank cleaner in my gray tanks and it’s worked well. I dissolved the tablet in a bucket of water and then poured it down the sink

Try Dawn Liquid Dish Detergent. Low cost and it cuts grease and oil.

Since it always reads 2/3 even when full could be a wiring issue.

Post #1 says it reads full when full.

Dove did the trick, before I left the site, filled up the tank more than half with hot water and 1 cup of dove dish soap. Sensors are now working. Thanks guys

That's already been pointed out and acknowledged by me. My fault. I need to refrain from posting after working double shifts.

If you haven't already, you could try Happy Campers Extreme Holding Tank Cleaner. Happy Campers-Odorless-RV Holding Tank Treatment for Black and Grey Water Tanks.

I will have to try the Extreme Cleaner. I have tried everything. Dawn, Calgon, cleaners etc...tanks read 1/3 to full regardless of level. But do read full when full.
But the way we know the grey tanks are full is when the kitchen sink wont drain or the shower doesn’t drain. We empty and go on.
I would love to install the external levels but we have the glacier package and the undercarriage is sealed with no access to the tanks.

They can be accessed if you want to get in there enough. Thankfully it’s not often.

Same issue here but read on the forum about using Commando in both grey and black tanks. Seems to work well on both.

Water softener down the kitchen sink with water until grey tank was full - let it sit overnight - drained and it cleared the sensor. Might even want to drive around with the tank full with water softener added if you can.
