Grounding problen

Hello All. Just checking if anybody can help. These two are hanging and dangling underneath the trailer. Are these two needs to be attached to the frame? Self tapping screw snapped, when I tried attaching it to the frame it sparks. Please need your help....Thanks,

You did not attach a picture. If they came from the broken ground connection then they need to be grounded again. Sparking tells me something is not working when disconnected. You touching ground is completing the circuit. Master Electrician here.

It would be helpful to know what trailer/RV you have.

Is there any device in the trailer that is not working?

If you have a volt meter, measure the voltage between the wires and the chassis. It is likely 12 volts. Then have a partner pull the fuses out of your power panel one at a time until the voltage goes away. That will tell you which circuit is involved. Once you determine that it is 12 volts and which circuit it is on, leave the fuse out while you connect the lug to the chassis with a through hole and a nut and bolt.

Thank you Cavie. I've attache two photos, the other end of the screw is still on the frame and the other end is on the crimp connector. Just curious with the other one, it looks like two solid wires attached together in one crimp.

Thank you us71na! My slide shows error that the wire is shorted. My converter is not charging my battery when plugged in to shore power. I'll try and measure the voltage from the wire to the frame. Thanks a lot,

definitely ground connections. drill out the broken screws. clean both sides of the frame. buy two new lugs. Kill the 12 volt power. bolt the lugs onto the cleaned frame.
