My interpretation, how to travel with them when you go camping??
As far as Canada goes, I know some of the laws but I'll let some of our Canadian friends chime in on that.
Here in the States, I guess it all depends on where you're travelling to and what you're travelling with.

So, nothing bad ever happens while people are camping where they would need to defend themselves from danger? Boy, I wish life were that simple. Be it from two legged or four legged predators, complacency and normalcy bias is what gets you in trouble. We don’t get to pick and choose when danger comes lurking around, all we can do is pray we are ready if it does.
“There is a better way?” I can think of a couple down in South Texas who were murdered and their RV and truck were stolen while they were buried in a sand dune who would disagree if they could. I respect your right to not be comfortable with firearms, but a blanket statement like that is glaringly naive.

I'm in the always camp also. What better place to prey on someone but at night in a campground of some sort. Methheads/criminals are everywhere, and they are always looking for cash. If someone breaks through my camper door it's not going to go well. I'm not going to be a sitting duck.

Canadian here (thankfully). I don't own a gun, nor do I know anyone that actually goes camping with a gun. Actually, I was kinda shocked that you Americans need to carry guns when camping. Seriously? This is what your country has become that you need a gun to go camping? Man, that's sad because I love travelling in the US.
I'm not going to get political, but look at our 2 countries. You have your second amendment, we don't. Look who's on fire right now. I sure hope you guys get your **** together soon because you're heading down the wrong path.
