Hail storm Fri night Huntsville

Hello all, well we camped at Huntsville State Park Fri sat Sun
What a scary Thing to go through ! we excepted a cold front but not a Hail storm, It pounded the park we where in, shredded the pine needles off the trees .

Our Bunkhouse held up well, our truck has Hail damage, a few little dings in the side of the RV, it was so random, RV's that where maybe 50 yards from us got it bad,our friends 30 feet from us had AC cover damage on there roof ,the way it sounded we excepted to have no windows in our truck , and heavy Damage to our Bunkhouse.
Though I was a Big tough guy ! what until your caught in a Storm like that ! My wife was the brave one so after all that we had a great weekend ! we have a few pictures but they are on my wifes phone

I have a buddy who was camped in Blairsville, Ga in a hail storm. It shredded all his awnings and did some pretty nasty damage to his truck also.

Glad to hear it was only scary.

herewego,
We were staying in ours on Lake Conroe down the highway from you, it got our attention for sure. Seemed to come out of nowhere. The stuff we got was about pea sized, no damage to our stuff luckily.

Wow, you were lucky. I love a good thunderstorm as long as no injury/damage occurs. Large hail and tornadoes are 2 of my biggest fears.

Herewego: We too got stuck in a bad storm up in Nebraska last May. Hail as big as 50 cent pieces. Beat the tar out of us for about 30 minutes. Sounded like bullets hitting a steel plate, lucky for us no damage at all. We had just picked up our new 27DSRL and maiden voyage home to Arizona. We also had a tornado watch in effect. Your pic looks like the hail was a little larger than what we had but still scares the living crud out of you.

I lost a brand new trailer to hail a year and a half ago. Demolished all the aluminum siding, pierced holes through the rubber roof and put 1/4 inch dents in the roof plywood underneath. It was a total loss. Terrifying.
