Hanging items on TT walls

I have been researching around looking for answers on what to use to hang hooks, towel rods, etc in my ultralight 197 trailer. I asked an RV tech who said the walls are 1.5" so use a number 8 screw and be careful. I know others use the 3m hooks and found info on using pop rivets. What are the best answers? Need help.

I am going to use screws.
I tried the stick on hooks, but they failed. Seems like the texture on the wall paper and doors prevent a good adhesion.

I could see pop revits working pretty good too, may not look as nice.

I have used the sticky hooks with success, but before they would stick I had to clean the area with rubbing alcohol. I have also used Velcro(heavy duty) for items like the TV remote. I am not sure of the size, but we have also screwed in small hooks to hold heavy items, like the dog leash. Hope that helps you a little.

I called Jayco about the same thing, I also wanted to hang towel rods on the back wall of our ultralight 221. This was what I was told, If I was to hang anything on the outside walls that weighted over 1 lb. that it could cause the paneling to delaminate and void the Warranty. They said by the towel rods sticking out from the wall, plus the weight of the towel, would be to much weight.

They said the only way that you could hang anything on a outside wall is if there is a backer in the wall. I ask if there was any backers in the wall, I was told yes, only where something was installed by Jayco.

I found the over the door towel hangers at WalMart. They are metal and I hang my bathroom towels on them. For pictures, my clock, etc. I use the 3M hooks which are great!

I use 3m stickers for pictures and they work great plus over the door plastic hangers in the shower and one over the kitchen cabinet to hand jacket.

I used large command hooks stuck to my wall in the bathroom to hang towels and clothes on. Command hooks in the bedroom for coats..we swear by them! They hold up to 7lbs and come right off the wall if you want them to. No issues so far with any of them. I was told by the Jayco dealer to be careful when putting screws and nails through the walls, you never know where they ran the electrical wires or plumbing. My trailer is brand new and I don't want to put holes in it.
