Hayes Electronic Sway Control

I am new to the truck world as I just purchased a practically new F250 to tow my 30 foot travel trailer. My truck has the integrated brake control. I have a Hayes Electronic Sway Control on the trailer to help keep the trailer sway free. I have a sway bar as well. My other tow vehicle was an Infiniti qx56 so I needed the extra sway control.

My question is, can I keep the electronic sway control with the f250 or do I need to disconnect it and sell It?

Congrats on the F250. I want one bad but we are saving to build a house so it will be a long while! I tow a longer trailer than that with my F150. I run 2 sway control bars and have minimal sway. I would disconnect or turn off your powered sway control and see how it tows. If you find that the sway is minimal or non existent, than you have your answer. If you feel some sway, turn it back on and see if the problem corrects itself. I don't know the market for selling an item like that so it may be worth just keeping it regardless.

My understanding is that the Hayes is designed to be used with most vehicles. I would contact your Ford dealer and consult Hayes as well. I have considered this product several times. How do you like it?

thanks for the help guys. I finally found an article... Ford's are safe with this controller... it's GM's that aren't compatible. https://www.etrailer.com/question-247257.html
