HD TV Antenna

I did somewhat the same thing. I bought a cable tester and tested all cables from end to end, except the cable that goes to the shark. All passed. Also replaced the splitter for fun. I then bought a indoor/outdoor antenna from best buy, mounted it to a pole and attached to my ladder. I plug it in at the cable outlet on the side of the camper. I set the switch which mine is under TV to cable. All worked perfectly

As I said I installed a external antenna and it worked great. I ended up installing it in my house. So this past weekend I went camping, knowing that TV will not be important.

So I tried the Shark fin for fun. It worked perfectly. I had like 70 stations although 95% are trash but it worked perfectly. Does anyone know if the antenna is tied into the jayco command center ? Reason I ask is that I updated that and thats the only thing I can think of that changed.

I don’t think they are connected in anyway. Were you in the exact same spot as before when you tried it? Literally 2 sites to the left of where I camp I have no probs, but 2 to the right and I have few channels and major pixelation.

Plus if leaves have fallen where you are that could also help the shark fin….

I think this only applies to a Jayco Motorhome, right? I have a travel trailer, so the app they give me is just "Irv", not "Jaycommand". Sounds like the Shark might work with the Jaycommand maybe? My dealer was worthless though. They basically said this is what comes with the travel trailer. I'm sticking with the real HDTV antenna on a pole I take out and move around at the camp site. Its a little like the Beverly Hillbillies, but I have no problem with that if it works. Its not like State Parks have associations to deal with :-)
