Red face Headed to Alabama Desoto Falls State Park in the morning!

I just hitched up the 29 bh to the TV and headed to the falls in the morning. (I almost forgot my cotter pins in the WDH.) Anybody ever been there before?

We travel to Desoto falls quite often. The campground it nice, wooded with a lot of room between the sites, especially the back-in sites. The falls are about a 10 minute drive from the campground. With all the rain this this part of the country, the falls should be nice, at least for this time of year.

Re: Headed to Alabama Desoto Falls State Park in the morning!

It's a beautiful park with several nice trails in the park. Be sure to drive the Little River Canyon scenic route as well.. And eat at the Wildflower Cafe in Mentone. The cheese biscuits are awesome.

We stayed in a cabin in 2011 (before our camping days). We had a wonderful time. The restaurant had good food and was very reasonably priced. A baked fish dinner was $9.

Enjoy your stay in sweet home Alabama!

I put my cotter pins back in the pin and store them on a large clasp. That way when i'm hitched up I should see nothing but an empty clasp. When i'm unhitched I should see everything together on the clasp.

Sorry didn't mean to hijack the thread. I misread your question and thought you asked if anyone ever did that before

Have been to DESOTO FALLS many times as well... Great place to stay. have even tent camped in their primitive area camp sites. They closed Desoto for almost a year a few years back and really fixed up the camping areas. We havent been their since that has happened. We also have visited the Cloudland Canyon State Park up the road 20 miles at the Trenton GA exit. This is also up on the Lookout Mtn . Another great site to visit with water falls...
