Heat and Moisture

Opinions and best tricks please.

Storing our TT for the winter and it seems that fall is definitely here. It has cooled off and it is getting damp. I live in the Pacific Northwest, Gulf Islands to be exact and I want to minimize moisture in the unit. I plugged in a dehumidifier that I already have into the unit and it is keeping it dry, however, with the cooler and soon to be colder temperature coming, dehumidifiers freeze up. What do owners do to keep TT's warmer in the winter months. Little space heaters and low settings just to "Break" the cold?

Thanks.

Damprid collects water, which will freeze and expand if it gets cold enough.
In an open container, freezing will happen from the top down, so there's a good chance of the bucket splitting.
If you use Damprid in very ow temps, it might be an idea to put the containers inside a larger bucket, or you could have a very nasty mess, come the thaw..

X2 - have used them for years with no problems. The other thing we do is to leave the roof vents open until snow flies so that there’s a little bit of airflow.
