Hello, Total Newbie Here

I've wanted a TT for as long as I can remember. My grandparents had one when I was young. My grandson is about the same age now that I was then and I wanted to give him some of the same experiences. I've been looking for 5+ years and have always landed at the 264BH model. Well, about 4 weeks ago I picked a brand new one up in Tulsa.

I've been buying goodies, screens, tools, levelers, etc... Built a wall to reinforce the bed and separate the under-bed storage from the front outside storage. Bought additional KeBloc fittings to add a TV to the top bunk for the grandson as well as the main area of the trailer. Got my first spot reserved at a local lake for the second weekend in April.

So excited!

Been spending some time lurking here learning stuff.

Hey CBears, Welcome to our forum from Clovis, California!

Looking at your attached pictures I might think I was looking at our rig. We also have a Jayco 264BH and tow it with a white F150 crew cab with EcoBoost. Have fun on your trip in April

Welcome to JOF. Enjoy your times camping. Some of my best memories were made with me camping with my sons and grandsons.

Welcome to the club. After two tent campers, my 264bh fits the bill. Anywhere from 2 to 7 in it overnight so far. Wish mine had the new, taller storage door next to the water heater. Sure would make bypassing the water heater a lot easier.

... also it sounds like we did some of the same mods as you. I blocked off the outside pass thru storage from the under bed storage, and built a center support for the bed.

Our trailer is a 2019 model that did not come with drawers/doors under the dinette seats, so I also added them for convenient added storage.

They are nice. I’m wondering about adding some doors next to the bed. I haven’t done any research at all on it, just seemed like it would be handy.

Congrats on your new rig! We love ours. All I’ve done is watch YouTube videos, do a few mods and driveway camp so far. Got a spot reserved the second weekend in April for the maiden voyage.

That's us, too! We're planning a trial run at a local KOA in a few weeks.

Awesome, we had 2015 264bhw was a really good TT. Moved to Starcraft Telluride 251RES just because of the floorplan we've been looking for. Our 264bhw towed really great with Equalizer 10k WD/anti sway even when very windy (proper setup critical, but easy)

Welcome Newbie!

Welcome. My wife and I bought a new 2020 Jayco 32KBS last year for our 25th anniversary and spent some time in the Petoskey MI area to celebrate. I’m not new to RVs as I have driven several in the past while on film crews as the RV driver on remote productions. Driven some really nice rigs, but honestly, I like TTs so we can disconnect and travel around in our truck. Congrats on your purchase and happy RVing!
