Help! Broken leaf spring

I have a 2008 Jayflight G2. Can anyone tell me what size leaf spring i need to replace broken one on left side rear axle? Broke while traveling east across Kansas. Camped at Chapman RV park and have been told local TSC might have part if I know size.

Are you able to get to it to measure the length accurately? Maybe measure the unbroken one on the other side to get a more accurate length?

Just make sure you get a replacement with the same carrying capacity. Just because they are the same length and have the same number leafs does not mean they are equal. If you don't want to spend the money to oder an model specific one, you can have one made at any axle / spring shop. Just need to know what you have currently which may require a call to Jayco...

Replace or Rebuild Both ?

It might be a good time to consider rebuilding or replacing both springs. Stop by a spring shop, these guys Know springs and will steer you right. Good luck.

When one side breaks it's a good idea to replace both sides.

Just curious....

It sounds like you're traveling through Kansas. Is replacing a spring really something you can do while on the road?

If you have the tools with you yes. As long you can proper support your trailer have a socket set and wrenches. A torque wrench is optional. WD40 would come handy when bolts are rusted. You can do anything on the road but it always depend on the availability of the tools carried with you.
