Question HELP PLEASE - 33RBTS bypass

Hello,
Just picked up our 33RBTS few weeks back and am heading out tomorrow.
The manual doesn't really help since it's so generic and dealer/jayco service haven't really helped either.

For my model where is the water pump bypass and water heater bypass.
The unit came winterized and I need to "de-winterize" it but no one can tell me exactly the steps necessary and if I need to flip any valves.

We have a 2017 28RLS. Ours is under the sink behind a piece of thin laminate plywood that comes off with two small wood screws. The generic owners manual has a graphic that explains the valve settings. Page 115 in the 2017 Jayco owners manual. Here's a picture of our tank and valve and the page from the owners manual.

The water heater bypass should be located on the back side of the water heater. You may have to remove a panel somewhere within the camper to get to it.

To prevent antifreeze from entering the water heater and to flush the system using the city connection.
Leave the water pump OFF.
Leave the water heater OFF. (Don't ever run the water heater without water in it.)
Leave the water heater in bypass mode.
Connect to city water and run all the faucets to get the pink stuff out. Once the water runs clear and all the antifreeze is out, shut off all faucets.
Go to the water heater and check to verify the nylon plug is installed, then you can open the water heater bypass to allow water into it via city connection (water pump remains OFF). Open the pressure relief valve in the front of the water heater until water starts spilling out then close it.
Open the hot water faucets (one by one) in the camper again until water starts coming through each faucet, then turn the faucets OFF.
Only at this point, after confirming the tank is full, should you turn ON the water heater.

You can also check youtube for videos that show the de winterizing process. I believe there are many of them.

Good answer. I'm de-winterizing today. Getting ready for the first trip of 2017 to Cape Charles, VA. 😁 Thanks for the info!

Thanks mine has island so I'm not sure where the pump is. Is the bypass for the water heater outside?

Look for the water heater cover outside. The tank and valves should be inside the RV at that point.

Thanks that means it's probably under bathroom sink. Guessing the pump is somewhere in the bunk house.

You could also run the water pump for a few seconds, the noise should lead you to it. But don't let it run too long dry.

The only time you'll be using the water pump is when you're dry camping and drawing water from your fresh water tank. When connected to city water, you don't use the pump. My camper is a year old and I've only used the water pump once to draw anti freeze from the jug into the system for winterizing.
