Helping keep the inside of my TT COLD

We have a 2017 Jayco 265 RLSW with a single 13500 ac unit 30 amp service. Salesman said it would work
..but to be honest in a real hot smer day it would struggle to do what we want. So my question is this. Has anyone ever covered their windows ( we have a large picture window in the back...tinted) with the silver bubble wrap insulation? And if so . Did it help significantly? At time's we like to keep it very cool. Due to health issue's
Thank You
Drop

It all depends on where you park and how you orientate the camper. Many times you don't have a choice and can't find some shade. In late summer the temps are getting pretty high in South Texas and unless I find a nice spot with lots of shade that 15k AC on mine doesn't do very well and struggles to keep it below 85 F.

I ended up using silver bubble wrap for my big window in the living area and the two in the bedroom area and it helped tremendously. I also let the AC get pretty cold at night so it has a head start for the heat of the day.

I also wanted to mention, my Coleman Mach a/c cycles the compressor around 74 F room temp where as my previous Penguin would plum freeze us out. I think the Penguins were cycling around 58-60F.

I've been wanting to install a wall thermostat and locate it in a decent place in order to keep the place a little more comfortable and give me a better chance against the heat.

Thank You. So far it seems that Lowes has the largest size and best prices. Thinking of using duct tape to make a.border around the piece and attach velcro fasteners to that. Sounds more durable for removal .

Why not just get a portable ac unit and plug that sucker in to the pedestal?

I actually "tuned" the thermostat today and it was keeping it 62 F in the camper all day so mission accomplished! Way better.
