Hitch lock advice

We just bought a new Jay Flight 26BH and before we store it, we'd like to bring it home for a few days to get things set up. We live in a good area, but I'm worried about parking it in front of the house, or even in our driveway area, because we can't store it behind the fence as it doesn't fit. I'd like to find a hitch lock so that no one can just drive up and take it away. I know that if anyone wants it bad enough, there's a workaround to all of the options, but what is the best out there that we can buy?

Thanks

Park your truck in front of it.

i always lock the kingpin on my 5er. Dont care if its in my driveway, in a camp site or in storage. It's cheap insurance against an idiot who may like the idea of a free RV.
Too bad we have to resort to this but too many folks think they're entitled to what others have worked for.

And to think that when i was a kid we didn't lock our doors and left the keys in the car in the driveway. Times have certainly changed.

Hitch lock advice

Locks will slow down a thief. Not stop them. I don't worry about our camper. not because it's kept on our property but because of insurance. We also keep nothing of value in it and insurance will cover the camper if stolen..

Fortunately, where we live, we can still leave the keys in the vehicles and doors unlocked. Vigilante law kind of. Good way to make your way to an early grave is mess with somebody or their stuff. Maybe odd for modern times, but it is what it is in our area. Hope it stays that way. Everybody minds their own business, but yet looks out for everybody. That said though, in certain other areas, traveling, the locks are on sometimes, or the truck is in front of the rig.

I think one of the best locks is taking a 2-5/16" ball from wherever, cut the shank, lock it in the coupler and put your pad lock of choice on.

Another thing to lock down are your batteries especially idf you are storing off site. We use these B & D RV Battery Lock For RV travel trailers and popup campers.. We went through so many straps and bungee cords getting ruined by the sun and found these that does double duty.
