Hitching and Unhitching on Angle

I do not have enough length in my driveway to full hitch my Jayco 267 on a straight pull. Is it possible to hitch and unhitch equalizer bars at a 20 to 30 degree angle? Or would it be best to only hook ball on and straighten out TT in driveway?

I would hook it up and pull so that the truck and trailer are in a straight line then put on the bars.

I have a 5th wheel now - but for the 20 years I had a TT, I can't count the number of times I had to hitch up, pull the trailer and TV out straight, then put the bars on.

It doesn't hurt anything to tow the trailer for a few hundred feet without the tow bars.

I agree with the two responses. Pull out, straighten up and attach the bars where it is comfortable to do so.
When we brought our 267 home, I was so proud of getting it right against the driveway, but in doing so, the truck was almost at a 454 deg angle and it was a bear to remove the bars/ unhitch at that angle. Never again.

There's no way I can hook up straight at my home, so I always hook up at something of an angle. With practice, I've even learned to hang the WD bars and the sway bar while hooking up, as long as the angle isn't too extreme. But it's certainly easier if you can do it straight.
