That's quite a rig there. Does that awning provide little to no shade and or protection? Or is it just the way the picture is took. Just curious???
Do like your generator rack!!!

Rack looks good!

How did you mount it to the trailer frame? Any close up pics? Others considering this would probably like to see some more details.

Thank you the jury is still out on the electric awning. It is much more convienent than a manual awning, but it does not provide nearly as much shade. I really like it otherwise so far.

I don't have any close ups right now but: I tied into the frame about FOUR FEET up then I used the factory tabs for the rear receiver as a reinforcement.

SO it's not just dangling off the back of the trailer. It probably all weighs are 350 lbs. To counter that I have two spare tires mounted up front and usually have about 75 gallons of water in the tanks.

It pulls straight as an arrow behind my dually and I use no weight distribution only a friction sway bar. I found that weight distribution was unloading the rear axle and the truck would get squrreilly.

Watch this video to see what happens when they simulate hanging a generator from the rear of a TT. It's near the end of the video.

Thanks for the video it's really cool to see how different things affect sway. However my setup is quite different from a car towing a 20ft single axle trailer.
It's excellent advise for someone who just goes out and buys a trailer and hooks up. My setup has a lot of thought put into it. I had the same type of rack and same generator on my old fleet wood.

I'm heavy up front to begin with and carry quite a bit to counter the 350lbs in the back. On a 35ft trailer your probably only removing 150-200 lbs when you add 350 to the back. I have ZERO sway and with a DRW truck with a 1,000lb golf cart in the bed the rig tows very close to a fifth wheel. In my eyes it the perfect. If you know what your doing there should be no issue.
