Honda EU2000i Gen, stopped Running

Honda EU2000i Generator stopped working over the weekend on a trip. It had been running fine. This past weekend, worked for 2 hours, turned it off for an hour, tried to start again, would not turn over. Got home yesterday, took out and cleaned carburetor and changed spark plug. Still no spark, no turn over.

Anybody experience this problem? Solution?

thanks.

If no spark check the off switch. Could be closed to ground. If it’s not that other ignition components need to be tested. I’m thinking you said it ran fine until you turned it off, then no spark. Switch

Check your oil level.

Or if the generator was tipped, it takes a while for the oil tho drain back down to the crankcase.

In both situations, the generator will not start.

low oil shut off sensor could be bad, disconnect the wire on the low oil shut off and see if it works. (make sure there's oil first)

My experience has been low oil most of the time. Switch prevents spark
