Question How do I fix this?

Corner peeling away.

I have jayco swift slx 2013 18.5 ft water heater pilot is lit but won't heat up the water . Comes on for 3 minutes and shuts off no hot water. What's the issue here

How do I fix this?

Are you referring to the top corner? Looks like the vinyl insert that covers the screws has shrunk. You can buy replacement insert and change it out with a new one in under 5 minutes

When my White Hawk did this I just used some brown Quad sealant from Home Depot. Stuck really well to everything and look brand new when I sold the rig after two years.

Avoid stepping on that when accessing roof, good luck with solution.

Is 3/4" the right size? Everyplace else seems to sell this stuff in 1 inch width?

I was trying to find it locally, but all I can find is 1".

Also, I measured the gap, and it seems like 3/4" might be just barely large enough?

I don’t know what size is on your rig but you could take a piece off to measure. If the gap in the channel is 3/4” then I would guess the 1” strip would be the way to go. That way you get the bulge from the vinyl to help shed away the water
