How do you carry your bikes?

You could probably make that work. Not as good imo as the one I posted, but if you already have a platform, it's a whole lot cheaper.

Thanks, I saw those but need the one that are welded to a round bar. I may have to have it fabricated. Does anyone know who makes the one on Jayco fifth wheels?

I am thinking of doing something similar, but that perhaps has a bit more functionality. Instead of the Stromberg Carlson Bike Bunk, I am looking at the Stromberg Carlson Trailer Tray. And only $10 more than bike bunk if you buy from Camping world - see link below.

On top of the tray, I plan to put a bike rack something like this one:


Or maybe I can just buy the Stromberg Carlson bike tire holders previously mentioned in this thread and have them on the inside frame of the bike, not on the ends.
Just the hoops in the following photo, not the tray.


That way, I can haul bikes when I want to, or haul a generator or something else when I'm not hauling bikes. My tongue weight can handle the additional weight, so no problem there.

Got my new hitch put on today. I think it is going to make bringing the bikes so much easier. I am going to swap out the current bike carrier I have with the one on this link ( http://www.kotulas.com/deals/garage-and-auto/scooters-and-bikes/2in1-cargo-carrier-with-4bike-rack-500lb.-capacity )
Now the pictures of the new hitch. They basically took the existing 2x4 piece that was from Jayco, then welded a the cross bar for the receiver to that, and added a angled piece to the 2x4 piece just because. They also welded the receiver to the stock bumper to make everything tie together. I will have to relocate the rear-view camera I had to a different spot, but that is the easy part.

I'm glad we don't have this problem anymore, we just put them in the back of the truck. It's one of the best things about having a full sized truck, it sits 6 and has a bed for bikes, generator, and firewood.

I put a ladder rack with kayak saddles on my truck to haul our Kayaks. There's plenty of room for 4 bikes under it. I mount the racks with "J" bolts that secure the racks but make it easy to remove.

I like having my shell. It was a huge pain to put the bikes, blue tote, generator, barbeque, firewood in the back of the truck. Without the bikes, it will be much better.
