How long does sealant last on new camper

I bought my camper in July 2020 and as of now not done any sealant replacement. Took cover off today and all looks good.

How often and when should I be thinking of maintenance on sealant? Or am I missing something?

Check your users manual. Most have a timeline for checking but every 6 months or so in bad climates. We are one of those and sealant can go bad in that time and less if stored outside.

I am right across the bridge from you in the same climate. I check mine as part of my end of season list of things to do. I give it a quick check again in the spring just to make sure the cold winters didn't alter anything. And then at least once during the camping season.

When you check it, look closely for any hairline crack.
Mine was stored in the open for two years (Texas sun cooked it), then stored under a shed for two years.
First trip of the year it rained, found leak. Glad it was noticeable- dripped onto floor.
Fixed it the next day with Dicor.
The following year switched to Eternabond.
Had I known then what I know now, I would have started with Eternabond the first year I had it.

Another Eternabond fan here, it’s great stuff! Prep (clean) the existing sealant (I use mineral spirits), wash the area and let it dry. When laying the tape be careful not to stretch the tape as you lay it down. Use a roller to push it down as best you can.
Recently I had to remove a short section to repair some tree limb damage. Gentle use of a heat gun and patience did a good job of removing it.
