How many miles are on my trailer?

I have a 16' Jayflight 27BHS
Is there a device that counts miles driven near the wheels or axle or do I just have to do it the old fashioned way of remembering all the trips I've taken it on and do a google search of directions, & start counting, etc?
Thanks in advance for any input!

No odometer on a trailer, some will keep a log in the truck and log mileage and location of each trip.

No odometer on a trailer that I know of. Our truck keeps track of the trailer miles when we are connected.

You can add a hub odometer if you choose. My truck tracks my towing miles but I still keep a paper log.

Here is a link to a hub odometer if interested.

As does my truck. However, with my new trailer, I'm going to try to remember to keep track in a notebook of the miles also.

The old fashioned way - Spreadsheet: 11,420 miles to date.

Your 2015 F-250 should do it for you. Scroll through your info screen to find it. You should be able to input up to 3 trailers I think. Then set your Jayco as the default trailer.

I keep a manual log. On the same sheet, I log and track maintenance.

On my new truck, it can log trailer miles even when I don't have a trailer connected. It's a little weird. I went ahead and setup my trailer config last weekend, but haven't towed anything yet. From that point forward it started logging miles against the trailer. Apparently I activated something that told the truck even though nothing is plugged in... just trust me cause I really am towing something... hence the weirdness. It's cool though because now I can drive until my new truck shows the same trailer miles my last one had (assuming I remembered that number) and then only 'activate' the trailer when it's actually connected to the truck.

I'm going to start keeping a paper (or xls) log going forward. I don't want to lose my milage history again.

We keep a trip log of every where we go and start and arrive miles. Every year we count up the nights camped and miles pulled. It is helpful to know how many miles you put on tires and where you have been. If we have any problems I write up what happened just for reference and to keep my memory correct , My wife writes a little epistle on each place, water condition, site # etc. for future reference. I have 3 notebooks , the last being almost full.

I plan to read them when I get older.

You need to choose "No Active Trailer" from the menu unless as you stated you want to play catch up and add the miles. I always forgot to make the menu choice and added miles to my trailer with my F150 - The new truck for some reason I actually remember to do it...

I'll probably end up deleting the camper from the trucks computer and start fresh when I actually start towing again here in a couple days.

600 miles on the truck now. I figure that's good enough for break in. I'll go easy on her till the first oil change.

My unloaded MPG was a pretty lousy 11.5. Mostly interstate 80 mph, maybe 50 miles of 'small town' city driving. Looking forward to camping again soon.
