I pull my battery, put it in a spare battery box and put on battery minder in the garage. I've seen batteries freeze and spit. I would rather have it leak out in a battery box than inside my trailer.

I keep mine in storage and with about 95% of you saying pull it. I think I will be shopping for a tender. Any good recommendations

This is my first season as a camper owner but I pull it after every trip. This winter I will put it in the garage and trickle charge it once a month until we camp again next year.

This is probably what I will replace mine with:

http://www.amazon.com/Battery-Tender...battery+tender

I am currently using a cheap Harbor Freight float charger; I test the voltage output frequently...

How many people pull their batteries

Camper bob, the battery tender jr is the one I have and it works great. Got it when I bought my Harley. Use it on everything....

I leave mine connected (two in parallel) and have the RV plugged to shore power whenever I'm not out camping. Two years now and no issues. I have a pontoon boat that I've had for 6 seasons and never take that battery out either. After the 5th season I had to replace it but 5 years seemed pretty good to me. That battery doesn't even go on a charger through the winter. I just disconnect it (cut off switch) and leave it in there. Hasn't been an issue.

I like the battery tender waterproof ones. Don't have to worry about moisture in the garage ruining a regular one. They charge at only .75 amps but will eventually get it full and keep it there. I also use them on my ATVs so when I need to plow, they always start !!

I leave my batteries on the floor in an unheated garage for the winter
(mid Oct to end of Mar). I do keep a maintainer charger on the batteries
and have never had any problems, even when the outside temperature is
-40 degrees.

I pull mine and store in the basement on a battery tender. Winter is very brutal here.

We take our trailer and batteries south for the winter. That works very well. Our boat and tractor batteries are left in place fully charged with no load on them. It gets very cold here in Ontario. We've been doing this for 30+ years with no proble. It is too much pain to carry the boat batteries up from the bilge, down an extention ladder, down the dock and to a vehicle. Charged and no load works great.

Pull battery and store in basement. Throw a charger on it every now and then.

For what it's worth, I used to pull our 4 T-125's, then got tired of trying to figure out how they all wired up in the Spring, so last winter I left them in the trailer, and the trailer plugged in. Didn't have any problem, and it gets pretty cold around here. As long as the batteries have a full charge on them, you should not have a problem either way, even in extreme temp. Otherwise, all our car batteries would be splitting left right and center.

After ruining several batteries with battery tenders, I leave the battery on the trailer, disconnect it, and put a small solar panel on the jack to maintain a trickle charge. It's been three seasons now on the same battery, and it's fully charged in spring when we return to the seasonal.

I never keep a RV over 2-3 years max, so never a battery problem..never remove them, but always pluged in when under the house for storage.

I pull mine, store it on a wood block in the garage, and charge it occasionally.
