Since 2008, I have pulled the batteries in November, stored them in the garage but always have taken them and slow charged them in the RV for 2-3 non-freezing days in January, then back to the garage till reinstalled in March. This has worked well for these batteries so far.

pulling battery

That battery doesn't even go on a charger through the winter. I just disconnect it (cut off switch) and leave it in there. Hasn't been an issue.
Same here. Two batteries in 5th wheeler and I have never pulled them in my 40 years of camping. Boat batteries stay in also but we are in Georgia and it does not get that cold for that long down here. Never had to replace a battery in a camping unit in all those years. Time to trade when battery gets low. I do keep them on trickle charger and plugged in year round and just keep an eye on water level.

I put mine in the garage and occasionally charge them.

I make sure mine is fully charged, disconnect and leave it where it is.
