How to disable the hot water heater in my 2018 Jayco Jay Flight

Can I completely disable my 2018 Jayco Jay Flight 245RLS hot water heater? We are camping and the gas hot water heater is empty, bypassed, and not being used. However, by mistake we have turned on the hot water switch inside the trailer. The first time I turned it off immediately. The second time I didn't find out for several minutes which means that the gas heat was on for that amount of time with no water in the tank. I looked around for a fuse and there is NO fuse for the hot water heater. I placed scotch tape on the red switch inside the trailer to reduce the possibility that we would turn it on by mistake. Any recommendations?

If it is an Atwood, outside inside the water heater compartment is the control module, on that module is a small blade-style fuse. If you pull the fuse the igniter and gas valve will not function.
